Mr Robert Hannaford (Chair)
Robert Hannaford is the CEO of National Disability Living Solutions (NDLS) a Joint Venture between Endeavour Foundation and Kyabra Community Association Inc. Robert is the Project Manager of the Living in Independent Living Project. Robert has spent the majority of his career as a Manager of a range of companies in the building and construction industry. It is this experience, combined with his knowledge of Universal design which makes Robert such an asset to NDLS. Robert is a licensed Workplace Health and Safety Officer (Construction and Services) and has a Diploma of Business. Robert is exceptionally skilled in the brokerage of partnerships between the private and government sector to provide tangible and measurable social and economic outcomes. He is passionate about harnessing the goodwill and contributions of business and private sector partners to provide concrete outcomes for individuals and families in need of secure, accessible and affordable accommodation.
Ms Gail Ker OAM (Deputy Chair)
Gail is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACCESS Community Services Ltd, a community based, not for profit organisation based in Logan City. Gail is interested in community development, settlement and employment initiatives and support programs for disadvantaged community groups including migrants and refugees.
Mr Nick Clarke (Treasurer)
Nick is General Manager Governance with Redland City Council, a position he has held since 2009. Nick is also the Redlands Local Disaster Coordinator. He has extensive experience in executive and managerial roles in both the public and private sectors in Australia and the UK. He has a Master of Science degree in Civil Emergency Management. Nick was a Director of Local Government Managers Australia at state and national levels for several years and recently retired as its Queensland President.
Mr Oliver Simon (Secretary)
Oliver is Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Community and Customer Services with Logan City Council. He has a wealth of private and public sector experience and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Planning and a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning. Oliver is a fellow member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Local Government Managers Australia.
Mr Bill Richards (Committee Member)
Bill is a licensed real estate agent and a Justice of the Peace. His community activities include being president of the Logan Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the South Logan Magpies Rugby League Club and Committee Member of Social Ventures with ACCESS Community Services Ltd. He is an organiser of a schools’ event called ‘Dream It Up’, encouraging the provision of opportunities, training and motivation for young people and readying them for further education or employment.
Ms Christine Briggs (Committee Member)
Christine is a resident of Redland City and is involved at a committee level with a number of community and not for profit organisations. Christine has a strong business background, having held senior management roles within a multinational corporation for 23 years. During the past six years, she has managed a Government funded project in the Bayside South/Ports region liaising with job networks, training organisations, secondary schools, various Industries and Government Departments in order to develop partnering networks and create linkages, which enable positive outcomes for local jobseekers and as a result, has developed a broad range of contacts
Ms Myann Burrows BA (Committee Member)
Myann is a writer with substantial experience at senior levels in the national magazine publishing industry and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney. Her background covers many years working in regional community arts and other community groups, including 17 years in the Redlands – with 9 years as President of Redlands Arts Council Inc. Myann was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship and a Bowman Award for services to the Arts, is interested in regional tourism and liaises regularly with community groups, schools, churches and artists.
Mrs Glenda Stanley (Committee Member)
Glenda Stanley is the Pacific Islander Liaison Officer at Griffith University, a newly created role responding to the needs of this important segment of the community in the University's catchment area. She has worked extensively over the past 7 years facilitating complex community and government forums to enhance positive outcomes for young people and Pacific Island communities. In her role at Griffith, Glenda has lead a number of projects in collaboration with local partners including schools, churches, university partners, government and non-government agencies to raise aspirations and awareness of educational options for communities. Prior to this role at Griffith, Glenda worked with Department of Communities, Youth Justice Conferencing and restorative justice.
Ms Alison Blomkamp (Committee Member)
Alison has 15 years commercial experience in service and tourism businesses, and 15 years in economic development within government in the SME sector. Her qualifications include Social Science and Diplomas in Teaching, Business, Training & Assessment, and Facilitation. Combining a strong commitment to her community and sagacity for social responsibility through government and industry engagement, Alison's company, Business Grow Queensland P/L, specialises in business consulting, projects, facilitation, training and mentoring.
STAFF
Mariae Crawshaw (CEO)
Mariae has many years of local government experience, specialising in Business Analysis, Strategy, Governance, Vendor and Project Management services. She is well known for making things happen and having a passion for achieving excellent outcomes. Mariae has a Master’s Degree in Technology Management and was awarded for academic excellence. She is currently focused on utilising her 'intra'-preneurial skills to progress the development of the Logan and Redlands Region – currently in her position of CEO to the RDA Committee.
Vicky Bleathman (Finance/Office Manager)
Vicky has lived in the Logan area for nearly 20 years and has many years experience within the banking and finance industry where she has held relationship management roles. Her strengths are her customer service ethics and her organisational skills.
Verity Easton (Administration/Project Officer)
After many years in the Hospitality industry, Verity has made the transition to Administration and Project Management. She has Diplomas in Hospitality, Event and Human Resources Management, all of which are of great assistance in her role at RDA Logan and Redlands.
