Regional Development Australia (RDA) has been established to develop and strengthen the regional communities of Australia.

RDA supports the growth and development of Australia’s regions and each RDA committee builds partnerships between governments, regional development organisations, local businesses, community groups and key regional stakeholders to provide strategic and targeted responses to economic, environmental and social issues affecting the regions of Australia.

Slogan

By bringing together the three levels of government across Australia – Federal, State and Local – RDA will enhance growth and development in regional Australia.  RDA is based on building partnerships between governments, regional development organisations, the private sector and other key regional stakeholders to provide a strategic and targeted response to issues in each region and to facilitate community leadership and resilience.  Each RDA works with all stakeholders to develop and strengthen local communities. The national RDA Charter sets out the areas of focus for the RDA network.

RDA is delivered through a national network of 55 committees across Australia. The priorities of RDA's differ between committees, regions and states or territories. Each RDA committee fills its own niche within its local community, and responds to the individual needs of its region. RDA Logan and Redlands is an incorporated organisation (established in January 2010) which  has been tasked with advising the Queensland and Federal Governments on key regional development issues pertaining to the Logan and Redlands local government areas.
